A wedding at Carmen Mirador de Aixa, with the Alhambra in view

If you are imagining a wedding in Granada with the Alhambra across the valley, this is one way the place can become part of your story. I photographed a real celebration here and saw how its terrace, details and changing light worked around the people.

Why couples look at this corner of Granada

In the Albaicín, the Alhambra feels close enough to share the celebration. The view is an extraordinary starting point, but I would also look at how the space works for your guests. Where will everyone gather before the ceremony? Is there shade at the time you plan to arrive? Where will dinner and conversation continue as the light fades? These questions shape both the experience and the photographs.

I can help with the photographic side of those decisions from abroad. Share your date and a rough schedule, and I will tell you where I would allow extra time for transitions, portraits and the changing light. Your venue and planner can confirm practical arrangements and permissions.

Let the celebration lead the photographs

At this wedding, I photographed the setting as well as the small moments: flowers before anyone arrived, guests greeting each other, conversations on the terrace. A photograph with the Alhambra matters, but it should not mean leaving everyone for an hour. We can make a few portraits when the light suits us, with calm direction if you need it, then return to what you came to enjoy.

Questions to ask before choosing Carmen Mirador de Aixa

Where will our ceremony and dinner actually happen?

Ask to see the precise areas reserved for your celebration, and how the Alhambra appears from each one. The terrace view alone will not tell you how the whole day flows.

When should we plan the ceremony for the best light?

It depends on your date, the exact space and the schedule the venue can offer. I can review a draft timeline with you before you settle it and suggest a short window for portraits.

What if it rains or the terrace is too hot?

Ask the venue for its current indoor and weather alternatives. If plans change on the day, I adapt the photography to the light and spaces available.

Will we have to pose for most of the day?

No. I photograph what unfolds and keep portraits simple. Couples who feel camera shy can still have a few beautiful photographs together without turning the wedding into a production.

Can you work with us while we plan from overseas?

Yes. We can speak online in English, discuss the atmosphere you want and review the photographic timing. Tell me what is already decided and what is still open.
